Course Description:

This course introduces the marketing role in society and how it affects the marketing strategy. Key points will emphasize the marketing mix, product planning, and the effects of the demographic dimension on the consumer market.

Other topics include the importance of marketing, the interrelationship of the different phases of marketing, the differences between the marketing of goods and services, wholesaling, retailing, pricing strategies, analysis of markets, and distribution.

My Reflections:

I really enjoyed this course. The textbook provides an abundance of valuable information, and is very resourceful. I was very impressed by the author’s of this book and the sources they used. The book is well organized with impressive references.

I learned quite a bit about marketing, and never realized how much was involved in the planning. This information will be valuable to me in my future web design & development studies, especially for the planning stages.
